Kevin Mohr to Participate in Educational Programs on Updated California Rules of Professional Conduct

Professor Kevin Mohr has participated or will participate in eight separate educational programs designed to update members of the California Bar on the extensive changes to the California Rules of Professional Conduct for lawyers that became effective on November 1, 2018. The programs’ sponsors include the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Consumer Attorneys of California, the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and The Rutter Group publishing house.

Neil Pedersen Speaks on Cyber-Security Ethical Issues for Small Firm or Solo Practitioner

Adjunct Professor Neil Pedersen spoke to the Los Angeles County Bar Association Intellectual Property Section on the topic, “Ethical Issues Presented by the Cyber-Security Threat to the Small Firm or Solo Practitioner,” on October 19.  The program discussed the attorney’s duties of competence and confidentiality as they relate to the unique risks that arise by the use of technology in the law office, followed by practical tips to avoid or minimize those risks.
